The Secret Sauce of Luxury Hotels: Parking Digitalisation
What makes 5-star hotels special is their focus on customers. They go above and beyond to meet, and even exceed, the expectations of their guests from the moment they step onto the hotel premises until the moment they leave. This passion to constantly improve, adapt and keep up with trends in the hotel industry makes them attractive to guests. However, despite the attention to detail, what often gets overlooked is the hotel parking lot. This is a crucial place that can greatly impact a hotel guest’s experience. That is why the secret weapon of hotels is parking digitalisation. Key Highlights The ultimate goal of a digital parking lot is to increase the hotel’s revenue, through factors such as improved customer experience and automation of parking management. The key tools of a digital parking lot are ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras, NaviPay (a mobile application for drivers), digitalparking.city (a reservation and subscription portal) and NaviParking Manager (a portal for hotel staff to manage the hotel facilities remotely). The most common problems of hotels that are solved with a digital parking lot are revenue leakage, unsatisfied guests, lack of staff, too many unused parking spaces and not enough available parking spaces…
In Business, Try to Think Outside the Box
In Business, Try to Think Outside the Box, or What Technology Has to Do With ArtOn December 3, 2021, we organised the opening night of Outside the Box, an art auction aimed at refuting stereotypes faced by people with disabilities. We chose to start the auction on December 3 because this particular date holds a special significance: it is the International Day of People with Disabilities. The opening night took place at Varso Place in Warsaw, in a space provided to us by our partners, CIC Warsaw and Venture Cafe Warsaw. The artworks were auctioned off on the portal Allegro Charytatywni until January 31, 2022. The proceeds of the auction were donated to the Avalon Foundation, a Polish organisation that works on helping people with disabilities. Here is a summary of the entire project along with some reflections from our Account Manager, Magda Malinowska, who came up with the idea and co-organised Outside the Box. Ever-present digitisation is a promise for a better tomorrow. We experience changes in our private, professional and public lives. The dynamics of technology development is huge. As a society, we step into the roles of eyewitnesses to the creation of the digital economy. Smart cities,…
International Women’s Day
On this International Women’s Day, we would like to look back on the women who made incredible contributions in the IT industry. We wouldn’t be able to fit all of the women who inspire us into one post, but here are a few that had a significant impact on us. Annie Easley “One of my biggest inspirations is Annie Easley, who was a computer scientist, rocket scientist and mathematician. She worked for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, which later became NASA. There, she worked on Centaur technology, which laid the foundation for future space shuttle launches. That was one of her greatest, but many, accomplishments. Her story is incredible. When she first joined NACA, she was only one of four black employees. All the discrimination she faced she fueled into being a counsellor. She also spent a lot of time going to college fairs where she encouraged female and minority students to pursue careers in STEM. Her strength and resilience were incredible. I believe she inspired many women, not just me, to work in the IT industry.” – Magda Cioch, Business Analyst Margaret Hamilton “Margaret Hamilton is an American computer scientist who was one of the first computer software…
What are ANPR cameras?
As a company that prides itself on flexibility, we offer various parking solutions that depend on the needs of the client and the infrastructure already available at their parking facility. One of the tools we offer as part of parking digitalisation is ANPR cameras. We strive to provide our clients and customers with the most innovative and quality parking solutions, and we look for technological tools that enable us to deliver this. We see ANPR cameras as such a tool, and that is why we decided to begin installing them at some of our digital parking lots a few years back. In this article, we look at what ANPR cameras are, how they work and help achieve the ultimate digitalisation of a parking lot, and what benefits they provide our clients with. . Key Highlights Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras are smart cameras that read the license plates of vehicles. There are two types of ANPR cameras. One read the license plates themselves. The others take a picture of the license plate and send it to other devices that read it. ANPR cameras can be found in parking lots, highways, intersections and sides of roads, and smart cities where…

The Key to Hotel Success in 2022
The new reality that the hospitality industry is facing is unpredictability. While in pre-pandemic times hotels, particularly those in popular tourist destinations, were used to having low occupancy levels outside of tourist season and made up for losses during peak tourist season, the numbers have been reaching an all-time low because of COVID-19, which took a major toll on the entire industry. Especially due to the unpredictability that has emerged during the first COVID-19 lockdown and that will remain a reality for the industry for a long time, hotels must take measures that will help protect them from this unpredictability and ensure their hotel services match the needs and expectations of guests, so they do not lose them altogether. So how can hotels attract guests in the age of COVID? Key Highlights Hotels must provide guests with safety during every part of the stay, ensuring that the guests feel comfortable and their minds are at an ease Safety is likely to continue playing a significant role in the hospitality industry long after the pandemic is behind us. Offering online booking at your hotel through a popular booking website is beneficial for hotel owners and managers and convenient for hotel guests….
The New Corporate Workplace
The way we work has constantly changed throughout generations. Although most of these changes had happened gradually, the most recent ones have been pushed pretty quickly upon us with the sudden emergence of the pandemic, and it looks like they are here to stay. That is, at least for the foreseeable future. The biggest changes have been the significant impact on the job market, the popularising of working from home and the changes of priorities for the employees. Therefore, some things that have been a struggle before no longer cause issues in the workplace and have been replaced by other, newfound problems, on both, the employer and employee sides. In this article, we explore how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the corporate workplace and what these effects mean for the employer and the employees. Key Highlights The focus of employees has shifted primarily to the factors of well-being and flexibility in the workplace. In addition to physical health, the rise of mental health awareness has also taken a rise during the pandemic. Flexibility is sought after because when employees get to choose the days they want to work from home and the office, they gain benefits such as saved time. …Loading…
