During the Smart City Forum in Warsaw, representatives of cities shared their ideas and experiences in the field of deployment of Smart City strategies. The main takeaway message from Wroclaw City referred to piloting innovations before their implementation on a larger scale.
Being both touristic city visited yearly by 5 million tourists, and a university city predisposes Wroclaw for fast adoption of the Smart Mobility services, making them thrive. Having 200 electric cars in municipality carsharing service, scooters to rent, the city is testing more cutting edge services within WroclawCityLab department dedicated to pilot solutions which can bring inhabitants the most benefits. One of them is a digital platform provided by NaviParking to make it easier to manage parking traffic generated by touristic buses. The solution had been tested for 9 months and proved 90% of accuracy in different atmospheric conditions.
