Smart Parking for Tour Buses in Wroclaw

Wroclaw is the first city in Poland to launch the free NaviParking mobile application aimed at navigating tourist buses to the nearest unoccupied parking spot. The cutting edge Smart Parking solution was created to address the needs of tour guides and improve traffic flow in the capital of Lower Silesia.

Born as a common project between Wroclaw Smart City department and NaviParking, the tool supports tour guides by showing availability of parkings dedicated for bus parking. Detection of parking spots is based on data from sensors installed in the ground, using LoRa connectivity – a reliable and secure IoT network. At the same time, this is one of the first in Poland deployments with the use of LoRa WAN. Bus drivers using the application can easily find parking, releasing the city from unnecessary traffic and pollution.
